The pen is mightier than the camera

Article Abstract:

Accurate drawing is the best way to guarantee intense looking on the part of artist as well as in terms of communication with the viewer. A drawing can go beyond temporal limitations in a way that no other static image can. Medical drawings bring a new dimension to the Royal Academy of Arts at the summer exhibition in London.

Pat York's remarkable photographs of dissections performed by the Los Angeles anatomist, Marc Pick allow no compromise in allying form and meaning. It is stated that the dissected body is no less wondrous and beautiful than its exterior.
