Toronto crossroads: The international AIDS meeting still has a purpose

Article Abstract:

The International AIDS Conference was initially aimed at sharing laboratory findings and information on HIV, however, it turned into a meeting of many people fighting one another for money to build a huge global AIDS treatment program. This unique biennial gathering, which will be held in August 2006 in Toronto, is expected to bring scientists, activists and drug-company and government officials together to ensure the continued relevance of their work.
