Identification of RPS14 as a [5q.sup.-] syndrome gene by RNA interference screen

Article Abstract:

A new approach based on RNA-mediated interference (RNAi) for the discovery of [5q.sup.-] syndrome gene is discussed. The results prove that the [5q.sup.-] syndrome occurs only because of some defect in the ribosomal protein function.
