US set to endorse human pesticide testing

Article Abstract:

The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to publish its policy on the use of human subjects in tests to access the safety of pesticides. Pesticide manufacturers are advocating that data from toxicity tests on people be used in license applications for their products.

Ban on triazine herbicides likely to reduce but not negate relative benefits of GMHT maize cropping

Article Abstract:

The effects of applications of triazine herbicides in conventional maize regimes on key indicators, using Farm Scale Evaluations (FSE) data is analyzed. Weed abundances in post-triazine herbicide regimes are forecasted.
