When will enough be enough?
Article Abstract:
A research team headed by S.T. Gudlaugsson has reported the discovery of a 40 km terrestrial impact crater under the Barents Sea. Gudlaugsson claims that the crater was created by the impact of an extraterrestrial body about 140 million years ago. The crater, which has been named Mjolnir, has been considered as a probable impact structure until geological samples can be obtained to determine shock metamorphosis and the effects of extreme impact pressure.
