Environmental changes under control
Article Abstract:
The National Envirotron envisioned by the Agricultural and Biological Systems Team will be used to study the effects of global climate changes on plant, animal and organismal systems. Proposed during the 1991 National Institute for Global Environment Change conference, the facility will also conduct studies of the soil's role in diverse and representative ecosystems. When completed, the project is expected to provide valuable knowledge that will help maintain a balance between humans and nature and direct scientific research to issues having national and global significance.
