New perspectives on the art of Pergamon
Article Abstract:
The book 'Pergamon: The Telephos Frieze from the Great Altar' edited by Renne Dreyfus and Ellen Schraudolph consists of two volumes. It is about an archaeological examination of the Telephos frieze from the inner courtyard of the Great Altar at Pergamon. It also provides several scholarship works on other aspects of Pergamene archaeology. The two volumes were originally designed to complement an exhibition in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA, in 1996 of selected panels from the Telephos frieze.
