Article Abstract:
Perkins and Will design principal James E. Young was commissioned by Fallon McElligot Inc and Duffy Design Group to design the interiors of their combined New York office. The challenge for the interior designer was to make the headquarters spacious enough to contain 60 employees without confusing the clients of each company. Hence, Young decided to adopt the retail approach which primarily uses translucent fiberglass panels clipped between vertical poles to divide offices and departments.
