Metamorphology
Article Abstract:
The entry way chandelier of the Jigshaw shop in London, England, features an innovative morphological approach to design. Architect/designer Nigel Coates conceptualized the chandelier as a reflection of the feminine shape and translated this by combining the collar and torso section of mannequins and amphora-shaped glass vases. He then attached these to a spiral-shaped tube track. The chandelier's overall design echoes the shop's spiral staircase, complements the muted earth tones of the shop's merchandise and gives the shop a relaxed and unique atmosphere.

Article Abstract:
Utility companies have been offering rebates to clients for installing energy-efficient lighting fixtures. Rebate programs are based on the components used or on the watts per square foot saved. The client just has to apply for the rebates prior to the installation of the lighting equipment. The utility company governing the area would send a representative who would inspect the fixtures and inform the client of the approximate amount of the rebate.
