Yes, business is serious, but it needn't be boring
Article Abstract:
Stereotypical pictorial presentation of business news at the Charlotte Observer has been replaced by well-thought out visual layouts that focus on the unpredictable human factor. The shift is highly noticeable as business news are presented in a fun way without taking away the seriousness of the stories. The main factor behind the change is a focus on making challenging visuals that capture the main idea of a story. Visual journalists were allowed to express their opinions and were also given more freedom which led to a creative visual approach to business news reporting.
