Article Abstract:
The annual growth in the membership of the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) indicates that hot rods are a growing industry. The major portion of NSRA's membership is made up of people between the ages of 31 and 50, who simply want to enjoy hot rodding as hobby rather than racing.

The Neon Challenge racing series event at Lime Rock, AR, was won by Erich Heuschele. The race was tough, and a participant who is a journalist describes driving in the race. The journalist was beaten by another journalist and both were driving cars supplied by Chrysler.

NASCAR tracks move into the next century

Bruton Smith and Bob Bahre purchased the North Wilkesboro Speedway and will move its two NASCAR Winston Cup automobile races to newer venues. One race will go to the Texas International Raceway and the other to the New Hampshire International Speedway.
