A bit of history
Article Abstract:
Scientific literature began to appear in the 17th century. Journals dedicated to different scientific disciplines soon followed. In the 1930s, the journal 'Bacteriological Reviews' emerged. It adapted to various changes surrounding the discipline and has evolved into a periodical that features a wide range of topics. The journal's title has been changed to 'Microbiology and Molecular Biology Reviews.'

Effect of exclusion: rates of hysterectomy and comparisons of age at natural menopause
Article Abstract:
This article compares rates and the age medians of women with hysterectomy history with age medians of women with natural menopause in order to refute previous exclusions of hysterectomy data in research on natural menopause. Comparison of data suggests that hysterectomy before menopause has little effect on the occurrence or timing of menopause.

Cephalopod chromatophores: neurobiology and natural history
Article Abstract:
Various lines of research into the chromatophores of cephalopods are discussed. There is a lot of information about the ultrastructure, physiology and pharmacology of the large chromatophore organs of loliginid squids, but knowledge about the central control of chromatophores is much more limited.
