A simple method for detection of imprinting effects based on case-parents trios
Article Abstract:
The data from families in which marker genotypes are known for father mother and the affected offspring is used for developing a simple statistic for testing for imprinting effects. A simulation study is conducted to characterize the power of the parent-of-origin effects test statistic (POET) and its results have shown that it is proper to use the POET.

On the methods for predicting the effective size of populations under selection
Article Abstract:
The author discusses two different approaches based on genetic drift and the rate of breeding to predict population size. Equations derived from the approaches are presented.
