Brain weight of northwest Indian children and adolescents
Article Abstract:
Studies tracking brain weight gain in the children of northwest India found that nearly all the total adult brain weight was achieved by the age of six. Infant weights averaged 342.5 gm in females and 371.9 in males, progressing to 1206.3 gm and 1326.9 gm in female and male adolescents, respectively. Total adult brain weight attainment averaged 94.5% for 6-year-old males and females.

Comparative analysis of age prediction by markers of bone change in the hand assessed by roentgenography
Article Abstract:
Roentgenographic assessment of bones in the hand can be used to predict age with adequate accuracy up to 70 years of age. In a study of people from Chuvash and Turkmenia, an equidistant osseographic score (OSS) was determined, as well as an osteoarthritic and osteoporotic score. A multiple regression analysis showed that the OSS can predict age.

Longitudinal change in forced expiratory volume in healthy, non-smoking men and women: the Baltimore longitudinal study of aging
Article Abstract:
Studies have found both gender- and age-related differences in rates of forced expiratory volume at one second (FEV1). FEV1 decline was found to be slower in women than in men, but not at a statistically significant rate. Variability between subjects is also lower in women than in men, and rises with age.
