Jobless rate dips to 5.7% in May

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 5.8% in Apr 1995 to 5.7% in May 1995. The number of civilian jobs fell from 125.07 million to 124.32 million during that time. Statistics on economic indicators, agricultural prices, and consumer confidence are presented.

April jobless rate holds steady at 7%
Article Abstract:
The unemployment rate for Apr 1993 was 7%, the same rate as in Mar 1993, according to the Labor Dept. The civilian work force declined from 118.6 million in Mar 1993 to 118.4 million in Apr 1993. Some 119,000 new jobs were created in Apr 1993.
