Participation's effect on task performance: mediating roles of goal acceptance and procedural justice

Article Abstract:

Participation has an indirect relationship with task performance through goal acceptance. A sample taken from a goal-setting program participated in by 200 employees reveals that participation also has a positive effect on task performance and procedural justice perceptions. The procedural justice perceptions of the goal-setting program, however, does not have any effect on task performance.

Effects of cultural-context, gender, and acculturation on perceptions of work versus social leisure time usage

Article Abstract:

Time usage trends exhibited differences in the trade-off between social leisure time and work time among people from low-context and high-context cultures. High-context cultures indicated greater emphasis for work time, while their low-context counterparts showed more concern over social leisure hours. Men were also shown to be more affected by time usage and management than women.
