Back to basics: We expect today's graduates to be tomorrow's high fliers, but employers are still finding that new graduates do not have the vital skills
Article Abstract:
A survey by the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) shows that the most important abilities required from graduates are interpersonal skills, motivation and team working. Employers' selection methods have become more sophisticated and stringent over the years and their expectations are higher, but academia is not equipping graduates for work. Context is a partnership between the Careers Research & Advisory Centre (CRAC) and the University of Leeds to create a network of universities and employers.

What's in a name?
Article Abstract:
It is very important to take time to choose the right business name. Attention must be given to a number of issues, including the image the company aims to project and whether it is likely to be involved in exporting. Before making a final decision about a name, you must check whether that name is already in use in your market, whether it conflicts with a trade mark and whether it reflects current trends.
