Croatia takes a radical approach to grenade fuzing

Article Abstract:

Weapon systems maker Ratko Jankovic has introduced the innovative PD MRJ- 2000 40-mm grenade fize. The fuze is mainly made of plastic with a few metal parts such as the firing pin and one spring. The fuze is placed behind the grenade payload and only the one pattern of fuze is needed regardless of the payload whether it is high explosive, antitank or smoke. The main body of the fuze measures 24.5 mm and weighs only 27 gms.

Aguila advances development of small-arms ammunition

Article Abstract:

Industrias Technos Aguila of Mexico has introduced 12-gauge shotgun Minishells. Although only 35mm long, the reduced-recoil ammunition's overall performance is almost comparable to 70mm reduced-recoil tactical shotgun shells. A .9 oz Minishell slug has a rated muzzle velocity of 385 m/sec, producing an energy level of 1,860J. Minishells, however, cannot cycle a semi-automatic shotgun.
