Article Abstract:

There has been criticism of International Finance Corp. (IFC) investments in Vietnam, which do not appear to be favouring private sector ventures. According to Jannik Lindbaek, executive vice-president of the bank, which has just invested in the extension of the Sofitel Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, IFC is restricted by the Vietnamese government, which is not keen on uncontrolled growth in the private sector. Additionally, there are few Vietnamese private firms with large enough projects.

The human instrument

The mechanism of the small-sized human vocal system, which enables singers generate sounds of varied musical instruments is studied. Research reveals that the human vocal system depends on nonlinear interactions of its components, thus producing the impressive range of sounds.

No-no to yo-yo dieting

Article Abstract:

A study of 3,130 dieters showed that yo-yo dieting may be contributory to heart disease and premature death. In a report, the New England Journal of Medicine stated that the dangerous diet may be avoided with healthy eating habits.
