'Food took over my life.'

Article Abstract:

A woman went on 20-minute binges every night for five years while her family slept. Feeling guilty, she would spend the next day dieting and exercising. She eventually sought the help of a therapist who suggested that she keep a journal where she could jot down her feelings. Getting to the root of her food obsession led her to slim down and be in control of her life.
