Hindu architecture transcends its suburban context
Article Abstract:
The Shri Swaminarayan Hindu temple in Neasden, London, England, is the first traditional Indian temple to be built outside the Indian subcontinent. The project has involved extensive cooperation between British and Indian consultants. The temple is one of a group of four new buildings which create an inner courtyard within a walled enclosure. The development also includes a community centre, living accommodation and a link building.
