The details pertaining to the plans for setting up of a new C50 million fish meal plant at Killybegs, Ireland, for processing North Atlantic blue whiting catches, are presented. The plant is being built with the help of an alliance being formed between Killybegs Fishermen's Organisation and Welcon ASA of Norway.
