Road pricing schemes have been in place for years in some crowded cities of Asia and Europe, and the systems have been successful in lowering congestion. The US has begun to experiment with such systems, which have become more practical because of technological advances but still face political obstacles.

Ebola virus death toll rises

The number of people killed by the Ebola virus in Zaire rose to 153 after more cases from Jan 1995 to Mar 1995 were confirmed. More than 200 cases have been confirmed. The origin of the killer virus is still being investigated, and efforts to prevent further spread have been reduced.
