Porsche still determined in pursuit of Volkswagen

Porsche AG announced it will continue to seek a larger stake in Volkswagen AG. With a stake of approximately 31%, Porsche is already Volkswagen's biggest shareholder. Separately, Porsche expects sales for the half-year ending January 2008 to increase by 14% to 3.5 bil euro.

Porsche net soars on gain, strength in core business

Fiscal full-year net profit for German automaker Porsche AG more than tripled to reach $6.22 bil, due in part to a gain from revaluation of its Volkswagen AG stake and strong core business performance. Sales increased 3.4%, with car sales rising to 97,515.
