Joan Miro's art spans several distinct periods, from the surrealism of his Paris paintings of the 1920s to straightforward simplicity of his later work, created when he lived in Majorca. Some 180 of his paintings are on view in Barcelona until Sep 1, 1993.

All quiet on the racial front?
Article Abstract:
Britain has significant race relation problems, although they are less severe than the xenophobia in Germany. In 1991, 7,780 hate crimes were reported in Britain. Minorities have begun to enjoy more social mobility and high paying jobs.
