Sweden/Greece: E2 has acquired wind farms

Article Abstract:

Through acquiring the Danish company Store Frederikslund Energy, the Zealand-based power company E2 has taken over 23 wind power generators in Sweden with a capacity totaling 29 MW and 31 wind power generators in Greece with a capacity totaling 19 MW. The Swedish generators are located on the island of Oland and in the sea outside Oland, while the generators in Greece are located on the island of Evia. E2 is owned primarily by the energy company Nesa and the municipality of Copenhagen.

DENMARK: FORTUM IS PLANNING FOR EXPANSION

Article Abstract:

The Finnish company Fortum is planning to expand on the Danish electricity market. The company aims at achieving a 15% market share, and is now looking for a partner in Denmark. Anders Wickstrom, Fortum, says there are several alternative ways of entering the market; one possible alternative is acquisition, co-operation is another one.
