Taming the integration octopus

Article Abstract:

The integration of all the parts that make up an ad agency, research, direct marketing, media planning, interactive, advertising, design, promotion and public relations, has been the goal of the industry for over 10 years. However, the current structure of the different existing organizations themselves, presents a problem that needs to be addressed before industry integration can proceed. Some of the solutions will include the establishment of a structure conducive to integration and manning it with people that are receptive to the ideal of working together to achieve a common goal.

Armada gets depth from board

Article Abstract:

Armada Advertising Agency has been appointed Jacques-R Gagnon, Pierre Pomerleau and Jean La Couture have been appointed as members of the Montreal firm's new board of directors. Jean La Couture, president of Services Top Management and founding president of Huis Clos, is also the chairman of the board. Gagnon was the former VP for public relations at Alcan while Pomerleau is the CEO of construction firm Pomerleau.

Ogilvy and Mather is an advertising agency based in Canada that was established in 1960. As of Dec 2000, the company employs a staff of 278, and maintains offices in Toronto, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta. The ad agency, an affiliate of WPP's Group's Ogilvy and Mather, has four divisions, including Ogilvy and Mather, OgilvyOne, Ogilvy Interactive and MCG. In 1999, the firm posted revenues of $39.8 million.
