Local retired businesspeople at SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, provide free advice to small businesses. SCORE, whose Philadelphia volunteers operate at the office of the U.S. Small Business Administration, has 11,600 counselors throughout the United States.

Chaddsford Winery, which was founded by Lee and Eric Miller in 1980, is the largest wine producer in the state of Pennsylvania with $4.2 million in revenues for 2002. Industry analysts said that the state's wine industry is expected to improve.

Linking customers with cabs

Article Abstract:

Michael S. Lieberman, president of the Olde City Taxi Coach Association Inc. is upset that his company could not satisfy the needs of many of his customers who called during the harsh winter months when the region was hit by chilly early spring season. Lieberman would have not made much money even though his company taxis were running to capacity, as he does not own the cabs due to which he does not get a percentage of what the drivers receive.
