An insurance firm is born again on the Web

Provident American Corp. a health insurance firm with over a hundred years of experience, has launched a subsidiary, HealthAxis.com Inc. which will sell insurance exclusively on the Internet. The two companies plan to merge later this year under the HealthAccess name. HealthAccess is also signing up other insurance companies toe underwrite policies sold on the Web.
