Barnes gallery could be duplicated, witness says

The testimony in Montgomery County Orphans' Court revealed that the Barnes Foundation's revered art gallery in Lower Merion could be duplicated precisely inside a larger Center City facility costing $100 million. The Pew Charitable Trusts and the Lenfest and Annenberg Foundations have promised to help raise $150 million for the Barnes to build a new facility downtown and establish a $50 million endowment.

The annual fund-raising goal in the Barnes Foundation's plan to move its art gallery from Lower Merion to Center City is found to be a workable option.
