Contingent upon the approval of the city of Philadelphia, Comcast Corp. will acquire Greater Philadelphia Cablevision Inc. from Greater Media Inc. Greater Media; will receive 4.2 million shares of Comcast stock worth around $270 million. The acquisition will give Comcast, one of the largest companies in Philadelphia, three-fourths of the city's cable subscribers.
