Comcast to buy software firm

Comcast Corporation revealed that they would try increasing the development of new interactive video services by buying a majority share of Liberate Technologies, California software firm. Comcast executive vice president revealed that he would work on the introduction of software that might allow viewers to watch multiple programs on one screen, check their voice mail on television or use other interactive services.

ESPN is a big factor in bid for Disney
Article Abstract:
Comcast Corp. considers ESPN, the sports network as the most important and valuable asset in all of Disney as Comcast reported $1.18 billion from its cable operations, mostly the ESPN networks in February 2004. Comcast revealed that ESPN was important factor that led to its bid to take over Disney.
