Cytogen ends plan to buy medical firm; the N.J. company instead bought marketing rights to two cancer products from Advanced Magnetics

At a cost of two million Cytogen shares, Cytogen Corp. will purchase the marketing rights to two cancer detection agents of Advanced Magnetics Inc. This deal is a lot smaller than the planned acquisition that has been scrapped. Both companies agreed to the scaled down arrangemnet. Cytogen develops cancer drugs.

Arlington, Virginia-based Council of Better Business Bureaus may revoke the charter of the BBB in Eastern Pennsylvania due to low membership and financial problems. The Philadelphia-based BBB affiliate, which has lost many top management executives, may merge its operations with the Washington, DC-based BBB affiliate.
