An immigrant from the Dominican Republic may be deported for violating a 1996 immigration law. Juan Carlos Isabel, who is HIV-positive and a 40-year-old father of five, has filed a lawsuit against the Immigration and Naturalization Service to stay in the US, where he says drugs are available to treat his condition.

QVC takes on Web site in Internet-trademark suit

West Chester, Penn.-based QVC Inc. has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Arizona-based AdultQVC.com, a pornography e-commerce site. The lawsuit will test the scope of the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, which was signed recently by President Bill Clinton.
