Hefty rate boosts seen for health insurance
Article Abstract:
Health care costs are expected to increase in 1999 following the advent of costly industry mergers, expensive lifestyle drugs and an aging population. Analysts also noted that the losses incurred by several health insurers in 1997 will make them more interested in raising rates. Health costs are projected to hike the most, between 12% and 15%, among traditional plans that allow patients to select their doctor, while health maintenance organizations could climb by 5% to 7%. Workers are also concerned that the possible hike of health care costs could result to more restrictive health plans to be offered with lesser options.

Other telemarketing companies declare that they are finding themselves on hold as they attempt to hire more people, find new customers, and supervise their growth in the market.
