It can take three years for a drug company to settle on a new name for a new product, and hundreds of thousands of dollars. A drug's name should be short, memorable, not offensive in another language and imply strength and safety, all at the same time. SmithKline Beecham thinks Avandia is right for its new diabetic drug.

Job-fair recruiters find talent in short supply

Over 130 local companies participated in a job fair that was sponsored by Malvern, Penn.-based STC and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. The 34th annual STC Operation Native Talent, which is the oldest job fair in the region, was attended by about 2,000 job seekers.
