Ray Westphal has turned the voting rights of his company over to his three children. Vertex Inc. developes tax data software for about 10,000 customers, up from 4,000 customers in 1992. Software maker SAP to add nearly 600 jobs

Philadelphia, Penn.-based SAP America Inc. has announced that it will expand operations in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania by building three research and development centers. The expansion, which includes hiring almost 600 more workers, will be completed by the end of 2002.
