The computerization of records systems: a study of selected businesses
Article Abstract:
A study of the records systems of 10 businesses found that records managers for the most part were moving quickly to computerize their departments. The businesses were located in western US cities with 100,000 or more people. The study obtained its data through inspections of facilities and on-site interviews of personnel. Records systems were found to range from manual/mechanized systems with no computerization to partly computerized tracking systems to wholly computerized systems. However, there was little indication that paper records were being converted to digital format.

The status of New Zealand tour operator Web sites
Article Abstract:
Many New Zealand tourism service operators and providers have adopted the World Wide Web to promote their business. Research on the status of New Zealand tour operator sites reveal that they are mainly used for logistical value of data and information. The Web sites have not reached a mature state for electronic commercial transactions so elimination of operators and traditional intermediaries is unlikely.
