The good times roll away
Article Abstract:
Kossman Development Co. is closing down its Warehouse Flea Mart in North Versailles, PA, to make way for a new 22-screen theater megaplex. Merchants in the 120,000-sq-ft site are notified to move out up to July 22, 1998, as the new tenant will begin the construction of the megaplex on Aug. 1, 1998. Operators of nearby Eastland Mall and Marketplace are already eyeing the opportunity of absorbing the Warehouse Flea Mart vendors as the former makes expansion plans. New Jersey-based Destina Theatres will spend an estimated $30 million to bring the latest development to North Versailles, and to another Kossman property in Collier, PA. The theaters, which are expected to open by spring 1999, will create an approximately 300 jobs.
