Donations spur cancer research
Article Abstract:
Fox Chase Cancer Center, Thomas Jefferson University's Kimmel Cancer Center and the University of Pennsylvania's Cancer Center are among the many cancer research facilities in Philadelphia, PA, that get generous donations from philantropists. Benefactors such as Sidney Kimmel of Jones Apparel Group and Madlyn and Leonard Abramson of US Healthcare are just among the people who have donated millions of dollars to local cancer centers and lent their names to the centers. Their donations enable the cancer centers to further their research on the cure of this deadly ailment.
