Article Abstract:
A study by pay consultant Pearl Meyer & Partners revealed that pay for the members of boards of directors increased to an estimated 15 percent in the year 2003 at the 200 largest publicly traded US companies. The rise is the biggest in six years, which has come after pressure on directors rose due to the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Act and tighter stock exchange rules.
