US growth investors have tended to avoid the US market, although it generates some 44% of profits world wide. Investors have feared that US stocks could crash since they have been overvalued, and this has led to their missing out on the benefits of US stock price rises. The US has an advantage in knowledge and technology and US stock prices have benefited from retirement savings being invested in equity-based vehiclessuch as mutual funds.
