Article Abstract:

CIPFA chief executive Steve Freer believes that the integration of CIPFA and the ICAEW will create a powerful combined institute, which will be able to offer strong leadership to the accounting profession and improved support to members. It will bring together brand leaders in the two main sectors of the economy creating the platform to be a highly influential player in shaping of the profession's future in the UK as well as in the international arena.

Article Abstract:

The opinions of the ICAEW members from across the UK on institute's proposed integration with CIPFA is presented. Most of members intend to vote in favor of consolidation as they see various benefits of it while some are opposed to the proposal.
