The aspect of savings arises in the face of the two important pro-savings policies namely compulsory employer superannuation contributions and the elimination of budget deficits. The combination of factors such as the rise in wealth and the fall in interest rates have led to the increase in superannuation contributions and the elimination of budget deficits contributing to the flat overall savings result.
