Feel the pain

Article Abstract:

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration's new proposed ergonomic standards that would lower the incidence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) in manual handling and manufacturing jobs has not been well-taken by industry. Foremost among the objections are the costs associated with compliance. In addition, critics of the measure point out that the vague provisions of the proposed standards would make compliance difficult. Another controversial issue related to the measure was non-work-related MSDs.
