Win - win - win with a service-learning program

Article Abstract:

The Service-Learning Program enhances the process of learning by linking educational aims of intelligence and personal development with community service. To introduce a viable service-learning program all departments of a university have to co-operate. Director Wood, a student affairs administrator, developed training conferences to guide students to function in an agency. Materials are collected according to student interest, and students of specific subjects volunteer to teach and help others. This program has enabled students to grow personally and professionally, and will benefit students, the community, and the college.
