Carotenoid triplet states associated with the long-wavelength-emitting chlorophyll forms of photosystem I in isolated thylakoids membranes
Article Abstract:
The carotenoid triplet populations associated with the long-wavelength-emitting chlorophyll forms of photosystem I(PS I) was investigated in isolated spinach thylakoids by means of fluorescence-detected magnetic resonance in zero field. On the basis of the triplet-associated fluorescence emission profile, it is suggested that those triplets are associated with light-harvesting complex I, the peripheral antenna complex of Ps I.

Heterogeneous solute dynamics in room temperature ionic liquids
Article Abstract:
The presence of dynamic heterogeneity in two representative room temperature ionic liquids is shown by the excitation wavelength dependence of the emission kinetics of many solutes. The results have shown that dynamical processes taking place on the subnanosecond time scale in ionic liquids near room temperature are heterogeneous in character.
