Controlled precipitation of solubilized carbon nanotubes by delamination of DNA
Article Abstract:
Polyaromatic molecules were found capable of precipitating DNA-solubilized single-walled carbon molecules from solution through a competitive binding mechanism whereby DNA is displaced from the nanotube surface, allowing nanotubes to rebundle. The findings were diversified to include techniques for controlled desolubilization and to provide additional elucidation into the interaction of single walled carbon nanotubes and noncovalent solubilizing agents.

A systematic density functional theory study of the C-N bond cleavage of methylamine of metals
Article Abstract:
The complicated decomposition reactions of C-N bond cleavage for methylamine (C[H.sub.3]N[H.sub.2]) on the transition metal surface are investigated to understand the molecule dissociation mechanism. The electronic properties can be used to predict the reactivity of metals and the Bronsted-Evans-Polanyi (BEP) relationship is found between the reaction barriers and the reaction energy changes.
