Accumulation of surface-active solutes in the aerosol particles generated by ultrasound
Article Abstract:
The composition of aerosol droplets produced by ultrasound from aqueous solutions containing various concentrations of Triton X-100 and D-glucose was measured to determine whether the droplets would be enriched with surface-active solutes. The concentration of the surfactant in the droplets was significantly higher that that in atomized solution. The enrichment with the surfactant increases as the surfactant concentration in the atomized solution decreases.

Kinetics of the reaction of OH radicals with CH2CICF2Cl and CH2CICF3 over an extended temperature range
Article Abstract:
The rate coefficients for the gas-phase reaction of hydroxyl radicals with CH2ClCF2Cl and CH2ClCF3 over an extended temperature range were studied. A laser photolysis/laser induced fluorescence technique under slow flow conditions at a total pressure of 740 + 10 Torr was used for the measurements. The results showed new lower temperature data which was intermediate to previous measurements.
