High-resolution solid-state NMR studies of poly(vinyl phosphonic acid) proton-conducting polymer: molecular structure and proton dynamics
Article Abstract:
Solid-state NMR under fast magic-angle spinning is used for studying the structure and the local proton mobility of poly(vinyl phosphonic acid) (PVPA). The studies have shown that the proton motion of PVPA is mediated by acidic protons through hydrogen-bonded network and condensation of phosphonic acid groups has blocked the percolation passage for proton conduction, resulting in the decrease in the conductivity.

Polyelectrolyte-mediated protein adsorption: Fluorescent protein binding to individual polyelectrolyte nanospheres
Article Abstract:
Confocal fluorescence microscopy is used with single molecule sensitivity to characterize uptake and release of fluorescent protein (mEosFP) molecules by individual spherical polyelectric brush nanoparticles that were immobilized on a glass surface. The results indicate that the mEosFP molecules remained structurally intact in this procedure.
